The swim meet schedule for this summer is here!
The Newburgh Sharks are part of the Summer Independent Swim League. There are four other teams in the league from area swim clubs; Burton Hollow, Fairway Farms, Plymouth Colony, and Northville. Addresses & maps for the clubs are available online.
The season consists of a series of dual meets in June and July, culminating in an all-day League Meet with all five teams participating. The League Rules are available here.
Any members who are 18 years old or younger and can swim one or two lengths of the pool (depending on their age) is eligible to join the team. There is a minimal registration fee which helps cover the cost of ribbons, awards, parties, office supplies, etc. Team suits and other team apparel is available for purchase each season. Click here for the registration form, fill it out and return it along with your check to the front desk by June 12.
The swim team practices weekday mornings, and the meets are Tuesday and Thursday evenings. There are additional events during the season, like a pancake breakfast, fundraiser bake sales at home meets and a Fire-Up party before the League Meet, and a celebration of the season!
